2015 Irony 3 Novel Train. Locomotiing into the New Year. To those who have decided to peripherally monitor this train to see of it goes off the rails, I feel obligated to inform you that I am not a same time every day writer. It comes when it comes and the schedule allows. I would love to be a same time every day AM writer. Alas, there are days when I am a PM writer, and even late night writer. (In fact, that is most days) Happy Scribing.
Dec. 27 – Day 57- 512Words
I’ve given you sunshine. I’ve given you dirt. You’ve given me nothing, but heartache and hurt. I’m begging you sweetly. I’m down on my knees. Oh, please, grow for meee...
“Ahem! Novel Train Blog?”
Wha--? Oh *blush* excuse me, sorry about that. You guys caught me singing to my book. Why would I sing to my book? And why would I sing a song from Little Shop of Horrors, written for a blood sucking plant? Well, first off, LSOH is one of my faaaavortie movies. Notice how I wrote favorite? Of course you did. And making mention of it yesterday made me… you know what’s coming. That’s right, pull it out and watch it. Heck, who am I kidding? I didn’t have to pull it out. I have it saved on my computer. All I had to do was click on it. With that said, suffice it to say, for me, it is one of those movies that I can watch over and over and never get tired of.
I know you have one of those, so don’t even say that you don’t. And no, I am not ashamed to say it is a musical. Do I like musicals? If they are good, then why not? Hairspray (2007) is another one I can watch repeatedly, though not as much as LSOH. How many times a year do I watch it? (Little Shop) A nice conservative count would be about six times a year. Why one year, I even--
“Ahem! Novel Train Blog?”
Oh, was I rambling?
“About any and everything except what the blog post tile is about.”
Are you saying that you don’t like LSOH? I dare you. Say it, and next time I watch it, guess who won’t get to sing the ‘Feed Me’ song?
“You wouldn—Fine *GRUMBLE*”
What was that?
“I said I like Little Shop of horrors too *GRUMBLE*”
You know folks? I just may be off my rocker. Still, that was fun for a minute.
“For you, maybe. Now the whole world knows I like singy tune movies.”
Oh, lighten up, and laugh, like I am doing now.
Anyway, where was I? Oh, yeah, gotta sing to the book sometimes to give me some words and what not. It can get stingy sometimes and not want to pony up the next chapter. A little tune periodically will spread the pages open for me. In case you were wondering, none of my books have, as of yet, asked for my blood.
Heck, after writing all of that, there isn’t much time left for the analysis of the day’s writing.
Well, if you know I had to sing to the book for words, then you can pretty much tell it was a jagged 512 words. Still, as I have said on more than one occasion, I will take it and run away like a word thief in the night. Or was that run away like a thief in the word night?
“I’d be happy if you just ran away.”
You know I make you up, right? And if I ran away, you would come with me?
“*Grumble*”
Okay, folks, I think that about wraps this loony puppy up. A jagged effort I will happily take, riding the Irony 3 Novel Train all the way to ‘The End.’ Now, if you will excuse me, I have a plant to feed. (A real plant. I can see from here that it needs water.) I Just checked, and wow, this post is more words than I got for the day. Different type of writing, though. Happy scribing people.

Dec. 28/29 – Days 58 & 59 – 1119 Words
Where to begin, hmmm, where to begin, hmmm. Okay, so, I can keep typing what I am thinking about the beginning of this, or I can just start typing the beginning of this. That is easier said than done, since I don’t know where to begin. I suppose I could just say I got me some 1119 words over the course of Days 58 & 59. I could also say that day 59 went smoother than day 58. I could put in that day 58 was still rooted in day 57’s jagged mire. I could say as well that I am happy to be moving the book along and thrilled that I am still on the rails.
I could say all of that, but the problem is that I don’t know how to begin. Where do I start? Maybe with the fact that I am into chapter 12 now? Or that my MC just heard something that bent his nose a little out of joint? Or, that I am still presently considering just jumping into things, thus making this a shorter effort than I originally planned? I am at the stage of the book where I can do that and I do not believe it will appear rushed. A little further and I will be past the point of no return, and I will have no choice but to develop a drawn out thing or two. Hmm, well, that decision won’t be made right now, but I will let you know when I have made it. Presently, I am still just writing what comes.
Cranberries and Cornhuskers! Sorry for the language, but I can’t, for the life of me, figure out how or where to start this stupid blog post. I know, I just won’t write it at all. Yeah, that’s it—No, I can’t do that, but devil curses and humpback whale scrum! I don’t know where to start!
“No one ever accused you of being a rocket scientist, did they?”
What’s that? Oh, forget you, and stop distracting me. This is serious. I need to keep up with these posts. I can’t fall too far behind. If I don’t come up with a way to say the stuff I just said that I want to say, then how is it going to look with me falling so far behind in the updates?
“You remind me of a Rock I once knew. His last name was Head.”
If I don’t have time to figure out what to write here, I certainly don’t have the time to listen to you drone on about bygone friendships. Instead of distracting me, you should be giving me ideas. ~Sigh~ I apologize for this you guys, but I got nothing. The ole noggin appears to be resting on empty. Hopefully, next update I will have something to say. Until then, happy writing.

Dec 30/31 - Days 60 & 61 – 1061 Words
The Irony 3 Novel Train and family extend you wishes of a blessed New Year. May this be the one in which your positive dreams comes true, whatever they may be. Happy writing and New Year people.
Jan. 1/2 – Days 62 & 63 – 1028 Words
First two days of the year and I start off with 1028 words. Not bad, Hasslehoff, not bad. Not only is it the beginning of a new year (Happy New Year, btw, just in case you missed the huuuuge picture below this update entry.) it is the completion of another writing week. Hmmm, how do I feel about that? Well, great, of course--
“There you go again, dismissing an accomplishment because the body of work is not complete.”
What are you talking about? I am not dismissing the accomplishment. I am happy to be at the end of another writing week.
“Really? Then what’s up with you even asking how you feel about it? And then saying, ‘great, of course, but--‘”
I did not say but.
“Yeah, but we all know it was coming.”
You-- I-- ~SIGH~ Fine, I am super fantastical amped to be at the end of another writing week.
“Really? With so much writing left to go? Geez, settle down whydontcha. It’s not like you are finished.
OOHHMM. OOHHMM. OOHHMM.
Okay, so after having to mediate for a minute because of the peanut gallery, I am back. All joking aside, there is a point here. As I have said in these very updates before, I do sometimes overlook the small victories along the way, because my eyes are looking for “The End.” So, with that said, as I did the last time (Week 4/Day 22) I am going to jam to one of my favorite tunes to celebrate the completion of another writing week. This time, you can jam with me if you like. Okay, so I may be dating myself with this one, but to heck with it, this is one of my jams! Tony! Toni! Tone! ‘Feels Good.’

That was fun. Hey, don’t look at me like that. Those guys were the bomb back in the day.
“The bomb?”
Oh, shut up.
Alrighty, then, where was I? Oh, yeah, the end of another writing week. I did consider taking the first day of the year off. But then I thought, ‘What better way to begin the year than by writing? It will set the tone for the whole year and will be a good thing for me to look back on in the dog writing days of August.'
“You’re not going to say anything about it?”
Like I was saying, Day 62 was a good effort, moving the train along on the tracks and advancing the story. It was good writing in my mind, because I was interplaying between three characters, one of which wanted to tear another’s head off, and the third acting as intermediary.
“You’re just going to pass it by and not even mention it?”
Veteran readers of this blog took notice, I am sure. No reason to mention it.
“Veteran readers of this blog? You’ve been around for what, all of a minute?”
Day 63 saw me continue that effort as I brought to the forefront what I wanted introduced into the story. It led to my two antagonists in the scene getting into it again, and the third, again, breaking it up.
“I’m just sayin’, you made this big deal of it before, and even went all loopy over it. (Week 3/Day 18) I think it at least deserves a mention.
Fine! If I mention it, will you get off—Waaaaait a minute! I know what you are up to. You want me to bring it up, thinking I will go loopy again, so you can hit me with the stick. That’s what this is about.
“I don’t know what you are talking about. I just think the fact that your word count landed on 555 again, on Dec. 30 of last year, deserves a mention.”
There, you mentioned it.
“Dang!”
Yeah, I thought so. There will be no whacking me with a stick. Rob ain’t playing that today. Alright, folks, that about wraps this loony puppy up--
“You sure you don’t want to say a few words about--”
Yes, I am sure. And I am also sure that I will be continuing the scene between my three characters in chapter twelve of tomorrow’s writing session, as I advance the plot. Another week on the rails for the Irony 3 Novel Train. Happy writing people.
